I completed my Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Zoology from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. Eager to explore more about wildlife resources & science, I joined the “Monitoring Tigers, Co-predators, Prey & their habitat” project in 2013 & subsequently the MSTrIPES program in 2017. During my tenure, I sought to estimate the abundance of tiger, leopard, & herbivores & model the spatial distribution of major mammalian species. I have been helping the team in the logical development of various modules of MSTrIPES & in the capacity building of forest officials. These national-scale projects gave me the opportunity to work & witness diverse landscapes & people across our country from close quarters.
